Narayanthan

Budhanilakantha Temple, located in Budhanilakantha, Nepal, is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Budhanilakantha temple, also known as the Narayanthan Temple, is situated in Kathmandu. Budhanilakantha stands instead for “Old Blue Throat” The statue symbolizes Lord Vishnu, who is regarded as one of the 'Trimurtis', along with Brahma and Shiva. The temple houses the country’s largest and most beautiful stone-carved idol of Lord Vishnu believed to have been made with a single block of black salt stone of unknown origin.

Garden of dreams

The Garden of Dreams offers people a pleasant environment away from the traffic, noise, pollution and hassle of Kathmandu city. The Garden was famous as the garden of Six Seasons which was created by Late Field Marshal Kaiser Sumsher Rana (1892-1964) in early 1920. Each of the six pavilions, which provide the Garden's architectural framework, is dedicated to one of the six seasons in Nepal.

Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park

Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park is the ninth national park in Nepal. The northern part of the Kathmandu Valley rises to the sprawling forests of Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park, upgraded to national park status in 2002 to protect the valley’s main water source, as well as 177 species of birds and numerous rare orchids. This is one of the last areas of primary woodland left in the valley, and the forest is alive with monkeys, leopards and bears.

Swoyambhunath

Swayambhu overlooks most parts of the valley giving visitors a panoramic view of the city. The stupa has stood as a hallmark of faith and harmony for centuries with Hindu temples and deities incorporated in this Buddhist site. The glory of Kathmandu Valley is said to have started from this point.

Kapan gumba

Perched on a hill not far north of Boudha, Kapan Gumba is one of the most popular monasteries of Tibetan Buddhism. People from many different Nepali ethnic groups also join the monastery at a very young age to become monks. Kapan Pullhari Gumba is one of the magnificent and pleasant one day hiking trip, offers great walking experience and as well as excellent view of villages and Kathmandu valley.

Boudhanath

The Buddhist stupa of Boudha Stupa dominates the skyline; it is one of the largest unique structure's stupas in the world. The highly symbolic construction serves in essence as a threedimensional reminder of the Buddha’s path towards enlightenment. From above, Boudha nath Stupa looks like a giant mandala, or diagram of the Buddhist cosmos. It is one of the major pilgrimage sites for Buddhists from around the world.

Pashupatinath

Pashupatinath is one of the four most important religious sites in Asia for devotees of Shiva. The largest temple complex in Nepal, it stretches on both sides of the Bagmati River which is considered holy by Hindus. Temples dedicated to several other Hindu and Buddhist deities surround the temple of Pashupatinath. Pashupatinath is also one of the few living cultural heritage sites in the world. Unlike other cultural sites or museums, Pashupatinath is the centre of energy with active participation of people at all times of the day, every day.

Patan durbar square

Patan Durbar Square is situated at the centre of the city of Lalitpur in Nepal. It is one of the three Durbar Squares in the Kathmandu Valley, all of which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. It is the best known for its artistic heritage. This is one of the most elegant architectural treasures of which Patan is very proud. There are three main courtyards or chowks, so named central Mul Chowk, Sundari Chowk and Keshav Narayan Chowk in the square.

Kathmandu durbar square

Kathmandu Durbar Square (“UNESCO World Heritage Site") also known as Hanuman Dhoka square is one of the major attractions in Kathmandu Valley. Located at the heart of ancient city in Kathmandu it is srounding both Hindu and Buddhist temple. Most of them are built in the pagoda style embellished with intricately carved exteriors. The palace is decorated with elaborately-carved wooden windows and panels and houses the King Tribhuwan Memorial Museum and the Mahendra Museum.

Bhaktapur durbar square

Bhaktapur has the best-preserved palace courtyards and old city center in Nepal and is listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO for its rich culture, temples, and wood, metal and stone artworks. . The city is celebrated for its glorious architecture; sky-high temples built in pagoda style - which is the stairway to the heaven, fine clay pottery, and massive royal courtyards dating back to the 12th century, where devotees, still, celebrate their pre-historic festivals by equal amount of gusto and passion. The historical monument on around signifies medieval age culture and tradition of Nepal and this old city is inhabited by indigenous Newari people in large group.

Nagarkot

Nagarkot is a village in central Nepal, at the rim of the Kathmandu Valley. It’s known for its views of the Himalayas, including Mount Everest to the northeast, which are especially striking at sunrise and sunset. The surrounding scrubland is laced with trails and home to many butterflies. To the west is the ancient, pagoda-style Changunarayan Temple, dedicated to Vishnu and a Hindu pilgrimage site.

Thamel

It is a haven for tourists visiting the city.Although some consider it to be overcrowded it has been used by westerners since the 1970's when hippies in the region discovered it. Thamel is an easy walk from anywhere in central Kathmandu. Thamel has been the centre of the tourist industry in Kathmandu for over four decades, starting from the hippie days when many artists came to Nepal and spent weeks in Thamel. It is the hottest-spot for tourism inside the Kathmandu valley.

Jhor

It is the remote & non-developed village in the capital city of Nepal. It is located 9km far from Ring road (Samakhushi) of capital in northern side. Jhor Mahankal is also the border village between Kathmandu & Nuwakot district. Shivapuri National Park holds this village in the Lap. The surrounded area of Jhor Mahankal comprises of Bishnu Budhanilkantha V.D.C in east, Sangla V.D.C in west, Shivapuri N.P& Nuwakot district in north & Tokha Chandeshwori V.D.C in south.

  • A super new hotel. Great location about 10km from Thamel. Quiet. Good rooms. Comfortable beds and linen. Good showers. Very attentive staff and excellent food. Cannot fault it. Will stay there again. Picture is view from roof terrace where there is a restaurant, swimming pool, gym and sauna.

  • The staff is really hospitable and provide very quick service. I went there with my friends, and we stayed at one of the premium suites with an amazing view of the hills. The food here is worth falling for.

  • Perfect place for a quick escapade. The staffs were really friendly and responsive. The buffet breakfast had great choices. The infinity pool was the main highlight. A cool and relaxing dip with the views of the hills and the city. Definitely a great value for the price.

The infinity pool provided a great spot to relax and have the mesmerizing view of Shivapuri hills. This property is very close to a 4 star property. I would highly recommend this place for travellers as well as for the people who are looking for a great weekend gateaway.

  • Отель хороший, персонал внимательный, английский разговорный с непальским акцентом . Помогали в проведении экскурсий, обмене валюты. Завтраки не плохие, но бедноватые, нет разнообразия, кофе за дополнительную плату, не дешево. Номера чистые, новые. Уборка каждый день. Бассейн и сауна хорошие. Есть бесплатный трансфер от и до аэропорта. Прекрасный вид на горы с балкона номера и бассейна! Рядом супермаркет.
